  • Lead multidisciplinary teams of mechanical and electrical engineers, designers, technicians, and Engineers-in-Training through the successful delivery of complex DES projects.
  • Direct mechanical and electrical district energy design as Lead Engineer or Technical Manager, providing technical oversight from studies and detailed engineering through implementation.
  • Drive project performance by overseeing schedules, budgets, deliverables, workload planning, resource allocation, quality, and financial commitments.
  • Champion technical excellence through quality reviews of designs, drawings, specifications, reports, and other engineering deliverables.
  • Collaborate with WSP's national DES network and internal project teams to share technical best practices, coordinate resources, solve complex challenges, and support business growth.
  • Build strong relationships with utilities, campuses, municipalities, architects, contractors, and other industry clients to strengthen WSP's presence in the district energy market.
  • Develop engineers and designers through mentorship, knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, and a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, health and safety, and sustainability.

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Professional registration with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC).
  • Strong technical and project-delivery experience in district energy, including studies, detailed engineering, technical reports, and implementation oversight.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary professional teams, developing technical talent, and adapting team capabilities to evolving project and business requirements.
  • Experience overseeing complex engineering projects, including technical quality, budgets, schedules, resources, and deliverables.
  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative, accountable teams and empower people to identify and solve technical and project-delivery challenges.
  • A proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with clients and industry stakeholders while contributing to business growth.
