As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you'll work alongside experienced engineers and technical specialists on projects that power and connect communities. From buildings and transportation infrastructure to industrial and energy projects, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting the design and delivery of electrical systems while developing the technical skills needed to build a successful engineering career.

What You Can Expect To Do Here
- Support the design and analysis of electrical systems for buildings, infrastructure, industrial, and energy-related projects.
- Assist with electrical load calculations, equipment selection, and design documentation.
- Help prepare drawings, specifications, reports, and technical memoranda.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project teams to develop project solutions.
- Participate in site visits, inspections, condition assessments, and field investigations.
- Review applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with project coordination activities and document management.
- Contribute to innovative solutions that improve project outcomes and client satisfaction.
What You'll Bring To WSP
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Electrical Engineering degree program.
- Returning to full-time studies upon completion of the internship term.
- Strong interest in electrical systems design, power distribution, building systems, infrastructure, industrial facilities, or renewable energy projects.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, SKM, or other engineering software is considered an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and a desire to learn in a consulting environment.
- Valid driver's license is considered an asset for roles involving site work.
Compensation
BC, AB, SK, NWT & NU: $24.80 – $32.65 per hour
MB & ON: $23.20 – $30.55 per hour
Atlantic Provinces & QC: $22.20 – $30.55 per hour
