Ready to Make an Impact? Join our dynamic Buildings group as a Junior Building Science Consultant, where you’ll play a key role in evaluating and restoring building envelope assemblies. You’ll collaborate with experienced engineers and contribute to projects that enhance the performance and sustainability of buildings across Canada. Your Impact

Apply engineering knowledge to building envelope restoration and capital planning projects.
Assist engineers with building envelope condition evaluations and site reports.
Conduct construction and site reviews, monitoring the quality of building repairs.
Liaise with contractors, sub-consultants, and other engineering disciplines.
Contribute to contract administration on construction projects.
Take responsibility for project tasks, deliverables, and outcomes.
Apply sustainable thinking and practices within project delivery.
Contribute to knowledge systems within the building science practice.

The Skills That Set You Apart

Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural or Mechanical Engineering, Building Sciences, Architectural Science, or Applied Science.
Demonstrated passion for building sciences, building envelope technology, or building construction.
Preferably 1–2 years of previous work experience in Building Science or a related field.
Previous co-op or summer work experience in the construction or engineering industry related to buildings is ideal.
Collaborative team player, energetic and adaptable to shifting priorities.
Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
Valid Canadian driver’s license.

Compensation

BC, AB, SK, NWT & NT: $73,400 – $97,200
MB & ON: $67,000 – $92,200
Atlantic Provinces & QC: $66,300 – $88,000

The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. Responsibilities

Support building envelope restoration and capital planning projects by assisting with condition evaluations, site reports, construction reviews, and monitoring repair quality. Coordinate with contractors and other project disciplines, contribute to contract administration and practice knowledge systems, and take ownership of assigned project deliverables.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Sciences, Architectural Science, or Applied Science is required. The role seeks a demonstrated interest in building science or construction, preferably 1–2 years of related experience, strong collaboration and organizational skills, adaptability, and a valid Canadian driver's license.
