Bring organization, curiosity, and momentum to a Buildings team delivering mechanical and electrical engineering solutions that support safer, smarter, and more sustainable places. Your contribution will help technical teams stay coordinated and focused on creating value for clients and communities.
As a Project Assistant, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, based in our Vancouver office, you'll support the Buildings mechanical and electrical engineering team across active projects and proposals. You'll coordinate project information, documents, schedules, meetings, and financial administration while working with engineers, designers, project managers, clients, and other disciplines to keep delivery organized, accurate, and responsive.
Your Impact
- Coordinate project documentation, correspondence, meeting records, action lists, and deliverable tracking so mechanical and electrical engineering teams can work efficiently and meet commitments.
- Support project managers with schedules, budgets, invoicing, change tracking, forecasts, and internal reporting that strengthen responsible project delivery.
- Produce well-organized proposals, reports, presentations, specifications, and client-ready materials using WSP templates and quality processes.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, project controls, finance, and multidisciplinary partners to maintain clear information flow across Buildings projects.
- Manage document control activities, including file structures, submissions, transmittals, review workflows, and records in project collaboration platforms.
- Strengthen the team behind every design.
- Education in business administration, project coordination, engineering technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience supporting technical projects.
- Experience coordinating documents, schedules, meetings, invoices, proposals, or project records within engineering, architecture, construction, or another professional services environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams, to prepare accurate documents and track project information.
- Familiarity with document management and collaboration platforms such as SharePoint, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Newforma, or equivalent systems.
- Ability to organize competing deadlines, maintain accurate records, handle confidential information, and identify missing inputs before they affect delivery.
- Working knowledge of project financial administration, quality-control workflows, and technical document formatting is an asset.
