Design What Comes Next
Join our Land Development and Municipal Engineering team in Edmonton and help bring communities to life through innovative design and drafting solutions. As a Junior CAD Technician, you will collaborate with experienced engineers, designers, and project teams to support projects from concept through construction, contributing to residential, commercial, industrial, and municipal infrastructure developments that shape the places where people live, work, and connect.
Your Impact
- Create high-quality engineering drawings and design deliverables using AutoCAD Civil 3D across a variety of land development and municipal infrastructure projects.
- Support project teams through all phases of project delivery, from conceptual design through detailed design and construction documentation.
- Assist in the development of subdivision layouts, roadway designs, grading plans, and municipal servicing projects.
- Contribute to earthworks modelling and design solutions that support sustainable and efficient community development.
- Apply drafting standards and quality procedures to ensure accuracy, consistency, and project excellence.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals to solve technical challenges and deliver client-focused outcomes.
- Support the successful delivery of projects that enhance transportation networks, municipal services, and community infrastructure.
- Build your technical expertise and professional development within a team committed to mentorship and continuous learning.
The Skills That Set You Apart
- Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, Engineering Design and Drafting, or a related discipline.
- 0 to 2 years of experience in AutoCAD drafting and design within engineering or infrastructure environments.
- Demonstrated proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Experience supporting land development, municipal infrastructure, or roadway projects is considered an asset.
- Field experience supporting engineering or construction projects is considered an asset.
- Eligibility for registration, or registration in good standing, with ASET.
- Strong understanding of engineering drafting principles, standards, and quality requirements.
- Ability to manage priorities effectively while working independently and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $57,500 - $76,200
MB & ON: $52,500 - $72,300
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $52,000 - $69,000
