About the Role

We are seeking a highly driven Sales Hunter – Telecom to lead new-logo acquisition and business development across the Canadian Telecom market.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT Services & Consulting and a proven track record of hunting and winning net-new enterprise clients. This is a pure hunter role focused on identifying target accounts, building executive relationships, generating qualified pipeline, and closing new IT services and consulting engagements.

The successful candidate will have strong relationships across Telecom operators, communications service providers, and technology organizations in Canada.

Key Responsibilities

Drive new-logo acquisition across the Canadian Telecom market, with a primary focus on Toronto and surrounding markets.
Identify, target, and penetrate high-value Telecom accounts that represent new business opportunities.
Develop and execute territory and account strategies focused on net-new client acquisition.
Build relationships with CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, COOs, and other C-level and senior technology/business stakeholders.
Leverage an established Telecom network and industry relationships to open new accounts and create sales opportunities.
Prospect through cold outreach, executive networking, referrals, industry events, partner ecosystems, and account-based selling.
Sell IT Services & Consulting, Digital Transformation, Cloud, Data & AI, Cybersecurity, Digital Engineering, Application Services, and Managed Services.
Identify client business challenges and work with consulting, solutioning, and delivery teams to develop customized solutions.
Own the complete sales cycle from prospecting and qualification through proposal, negotiation, and closure.
Generate and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified new-logo opportunities.
Lead complex sales pursuits and coordinate internal stakeholders across pre-sales, delivery, consulting, and technology practices.
Develop compelling value propositions, proposals, and executive presentations.
Negotiate commercial terms and close multi-million-dollar IT services and consulting engagements.
Maintain accurate sales forecasts, CRM activity, and opportunity reporting.
Track Telecom industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging technology requirements to identify new business opportunities.

Required Qualifications

8–15+ years of experience in Enterprise Sales, Business Development, Sales Hunting, or Client Acquisition within IT Services & Consulting.
Proven track record of new-logo acquisition / net-new business development.
Strong experience selling IT services, consulting, digital transformation, cloud, engineering, managed services, or related technology solutions.
Telecom industry experience is required/preferred, with an established network of Telecom decision-makers in Canada.
Demonstrated success in building pipeline from scratch and converting prospects into new enterprise clients.
Experience selling complex, multi-million-dollar IT Services & Consulting engagements.
Strong relationships with CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, COOs, procurement leaders, and other senior decision-makers.
Strong understanding of the Telecom industry, including operators, communications service providers, network transformation, OSS/BSS, 5G, cloud, data, and digital transformation.
Strong consultative selling, negotiation, presentation, and executive communication skills.
Ability to operate independently as a hunter, with strong ownership of territory, pipeline, and revenue targets.
Must be based in or willing to work from Toronto, Ontario.
