Original job description

Yahoo serves as a trusted guide for hundreds of millions of people globally, helping them achieve their goals online through our portfolio of iconic products. For advertisers, Yahoo Advertising offers omnichannel solutions and powerful data to engage with our brands and deliver results.

Yahoo Ads is seeking a Canada-based Creative Solutions Lead to support international markets and lead the development and delivery of innovative branded content, partnerships, and creative solutions across Yahoo’s owned and operated (O&O) properties. This individual will play a critical role in helping advertisers connect with Yahoo’s premium audiences through insight-driven, content-led programs that span editorial, video, digital, experiential, and emerging media experiences.

As a strategic partner to Sales, you will lead the development of custom proposals, RFP responses, pitch presentations, and creative concepts from pre-sale strategy through post-sale execution and optimization. Leveraging audience insights, advertiser objectives, and Yahoo’s content and media capabilities, you will develop compelling narratives and integrated solutions that drive measurable business outcomes for clients across Canada and international markets.

This role sits at the intersection of creative, strategy, sales, and execution, partnering closely with Sales, Account Management, Editorial, Production, Marketing, Design, Product, Analytics, and external vendors. You will serve as both a strategic advisor and hands-on project lead, overseeing programs from ideation and presentation through production, launch, optimization, and reporting. This includes managing timelines, coordinating cross-functional teams, sourcing and managing vendors, and ensuring campaigns are delivered with excellence while meeting client and business objectives.

Success in this role requires a highly collaborative, consultative, and solutions-oriented professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, navigates ambiguity with confidence, and can effectively manage multiple stakeholders across regions, time zones, and disciplines. Strong storytelling, presentation, project management, and relationship-building skills are essential, along with a passion for developing innovative advertising experiences that showcase the full power of Yahoo Ads' O&O ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop custom branded content, partnerships, and integrated marketing programs across Yahoo's O&O properties.

Partner with Sales on RFPs, client pitches, strategic narratives, and proposal development.

Create audience-first solutions leveraging Yahoo's content, media, data, and advertising capabilities.

Design and present compelling pitch decks, presentations, and creative concepts to internal and external stakeholders.

Lead campaigns from concept through execution, coordinating cross-functional teams, vendors, and production partners.

Manage timelines, budgets, resources, and deliverables to ensure successful campaign delivery.

Support international markets by adapting creative strategies to regional audiences and business needs.

Partner with Analytics and Account Management teams to evaluate campaign performance and identify future opportunities.

Leverage AI-powered tools and emerging technologies to enhance creative development, workflow efficiency, and campaign execution.

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in creative strategy, branded content, integrated marketing, content marketing, or a related role within a publisher, media company, content studio, or agency.

Proven experience developing and executing multi-channel creative campaigns across digital, video, editorial, experiential, and branded content formats.

Experience supporting sales organizations through both pre-sale strategy and post-sale execution.

Strong client-facing experience presenting creative concepts and building trusted relationships.

Exceptional storytelling, presentation, and deck-building skills.

Strong project management and organizational abilities with experience managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

Deep understanding of digital advertising, branded content, and audience engagement strategies.

Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, vendors, agencies, and freelance resources.

Proficiency with Google Workspace and project management tools such as Airtable, Salesforce, or Jira.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

The compensation for this position ranges from $126,600 - $177,200 and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives. Yahoo provides industry-leading benefits including a competitive health and dental package, RRSP match program, vacation, sick time, parental leave and an employee assistance program. Eligibility requirements apply.

Yahoo is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to, and will not be discriminated against based on age, race, gender, color, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status, disability or any other protected category. Yahoo will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable law. Yahoo is dedicated to providing an accessible environment for all candidates during the application process and for employees during their employment. If you need accessibility assistance and/or a reasonable accommodation due to a disability, please submit a request via the Accommodation Request Form (www.yahooinc.com/careers/contact-us.html) or call +1.866.772.3182. Requests and calls received for non-disability related issues, such as following up on an application, will not receive a response.

We use technology, which may include AI-based tools, to support parts of our recruitment process (including screening and scheduling) and to improve efficiency and consistency. Hiring decisions are made by people, not algorithms.

The compensation for this position may vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. Yahoo provides industry-leading benefits including a competitive health and dental package, RRSP match program, vacation, sick time, parental leave and an employee assistance program. Eligibility requirements apply.

Yahoo has a high degree of flexibility around employee location and hybrid working. In fact, our flexible-hybrid approach to work is one of the things our employees rave about. Most roles don’t require specific regular patterns of in-person office attendance. If you join Yahoo, you may be asked to attend (or travel to attend) on-site work sessions, team-building, or other in-person events. When these occur, you’ll be given notice to make arrangements.

If you’re curious about how this factors into this role, please discuss with the recruiter.
