Job Title: Senior Application Security Analyst

Location: Mississauga, ON, Canada L5N 0E1

Work Model: Hybrid, 3 days onsite per week

Contract: 12 Months

Primary Skills: Application Security, SAST, SCA, DAST, HTTP/HTTPS, API Security, DevSecOps

Required Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Equivalent practical experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

Professional Experience:

5+ years of progressive experience in Application Security, Product Security, Secure Software Development, or a closely related cybersecurity discipline.
Strong hands-on experience performing application and API security assessments.
Demonstrated experience with threat modeling, secure architecture/design reviews, and application vulnerability management.
Experience integrating security activities into the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Experience working directly with developers, architects, engineering teams, and application owners.

Required Technical Skills:

Application Security Testing

Hands-on experience with: SAST, SCA, DAST, Secret scanning, Vulnerability assessment, Penetration-testing finding analysis

Candidates should be comfortable analyzing results from automated security tooling rather than simply generating scan reports.

Web & API Security

Strong knowledge of: HTTP/HTTPS, REST APIs, JSON, OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, Authentication and authorization, API security, Web application security, Secure integration patterns.

Secure Development

Strong understanding of: OWASP Top 10, Secure coding principles, Threat modeling methodologies, Secure-by-design principles, Shift-left security, Secure SDLC, DevSecOps, CI/CD security integration

Communication & Collaboration

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to communicate application security risks to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to collaborate within cross-disciplinary teams across multiple projects and geographic locations.
