IT Financial Planning & Control Manager

Location: Toronto, Ontario | Canada Sparta, TN | Burgettstown, PA

This is an onsite role from one of the above listed locations.

Known for its commitment to quality, innovation, and operational excellence, the company is investing in a significant digital transformation to modernize its technology infrastructure and strengthen operations across multiple manufacturing facilities.

This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of IT financial planning and control for a leading international manufacturing organization's U.S. operation. In this high-visibility, hands-on role, you'll have the opportunity to build the IT budgeting and financial controlling function from the ground up, bringing structure and control to IT spending while establishing the financial processes that will support smarter investment decisions. Working directly with senior IT and Finance leadership in North America and Europe, you'll lead budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and financial reporting while identifying opportunities to optimize IT expenditures. You'll also support financial planning and cost tracking for the company's ongoing SAP S/4HANA transformation.

What You'll Do

• Build and manage IT budgets, rolling forecasts, and financial planning processes across North American operations.
• Establish transparency into existing IT expenses, infrastructure costs, and vendor spending.
• Track CAPEX/OPEX, analyze variances, and identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities.
• Develop consistent financial reporting, dashboards, and cost-control processes for IT leadership.
• Support SAP S/4HANA transformation initiatives through project budgeting, forecasting, and financial oversight.
• Reconcile actual costs, commitments, purchase orders, invoices, and accruals with Finance and Procurement.
• Prepare investment business cases and total-cost-of-ownership analyses for technology initiatives.
• Partner with IT leadership, Finance, and Controlling teams across North America and Germany.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in FP&A, Financial Controlling, Finance Management, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience developing budgets from scratch and establishing financial planning processes.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial modeling, and cost-control capabilities.
• Experience managing IT budgets, technology expenses, or infrastructure costs.
• Experience managing operating expenses, capital expenditure, and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems and reporting or BI tools.
• Ability to work independently, challenge assumptions, and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.

Preferred Experience

• Financial oversight of SAP/ERP implementations or large technology transformation projects.
• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA and ERP cost reporting.
• Understanding of cloud spending, software licensing, and technology vendor contracts.
• Exposure to IT service management (ITSM) or IT asset management (ITAM) financial processes.
• Experience collaborating with international teams or within a matrix organization.

Location & Travel

This is an onsite role. Candidates should be located near or willing to relocate to one of the following locations:

• Toronto, ON, Canada
• Sparta, TN
• Burgettstown, PA

Travel is expected to be approximately 10%-15%, primarily for collaboration across company sites.
