Position Name – Senior Backend Developer
Type of hiring – Fulltime/Subcon
Location – Brampton, ON (5 days onsite in a week)
Job Description:
Experience 8-12 Years of overall IT experience with 5+ Years of hands-on Senior Backend Developer with strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot, experienced in building and delivering enterprise-scale microservices and API-driven platforms.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services, integrating with multiple internal and external systems, and ensuring high availability and performance of applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot within a microservices architecture.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integration services, ensuring secure and efficient communication between distributed systems.
- Work closely with frontend teams, product managers, architects, and DevOps engineers to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with business requirements.
- Participate in system design, architecture discussions, and technical decision-making for large-scale enterprise applications.
- Implement performance optimization, caching strategies, and concurrency handling to ensure system reliability and scalability.
- Develop secure APIs using OAuth/OIDC authentication mechanisms, ensuring compliance with enterprise security standards.
- Integrate with external platforms and services using REST/SOAP APIs, messaging systems (Kafka), and event-driven architectures.
- Ensure code quality through code reviews, automated testing, and adherence to best engineering practices.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native deployments in containerized environments.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior developers while contributing hands-on to complex development tasks.
