Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9 Consultant who can work independently in a customer-facing environment with minimal supervision. The consultant will be responsible for designing, implementing, upgrading, optimizing, and supporting VMware Cloud Foundation solutions.
The ideal candidate should be a strong VMware SME with hands-on experience in:
- VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF 9)
- vSphere
- vSAN
- NSX
- VMware Aria Suite
The resource must be comfortable leading customer discussions, delivering implementations, and providing technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect VMware VCF-based solutions aligned with customer requirements.
- Lead end-to-end implementation and deployment of VMware VCF environments.
- Configure and integrate vSphere, vSAN, NSX, and Aria Suite components.
- Provide technical leadership and act as the VMware SME.
- Conduct customer workshops, knowledge transfer sessions, and solution demonstrations.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and perform performance optimization.
- Support upgrades, migrations, monitoring setup, and environment enhancements.
- Create implementation documentation, architecture diagrams, and best-practice guides.
Mandatory Requirements
- VCP VCF Admin 9.x Certification (minimum requirement)
- 8+ years of VMware experience in enterprise environments
- Strong VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) administration and deployment experience
- Hands-on expertise with:
- vSphere
- vSAN
- NSX
- VMware Aria Suite
- Experience with upgrades and migrations (not just break/fix support)
- Strong customer-facing consulting experience
- Ability to work independently with customers
- Bilingual in French and English
- Must be located in or near Montreal
Preferred Skills
- VMware certifications such as VCP, VCAP, or VCDX
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience
- Automation experience with:
- VMware Aria Suite
- Ansible
- PowerShell
- Python
- Strong networking, storage, and security knowledge in VMware environments
- Experience setting up monitoring and operational best practices
