Original job description

Who we are

At Yorkville University and Toronto Film School, we believe education is more than the pursuit of knowledge – it is a catalyst for transformation. Our mission, grounded in democratizing education, is to create access for learners from every background and empower them to achieve their aspirations and advance their careers.

We are committed to delivering rigorous, flexible programs that are both personally fulfilling and professionally rewarding, while contributing to the betterment of society. Since 2004, Yorkville has been among Canada’s few private, for-profit, fully accredited degree-granting universities, with campuses in Ontario, British Columbia, and New Brunswick. Together with Toronto Film School, we offer creative and academic pathways at both the college and university levels, cultivating a multidisciplinary environment where innovation and the arts converge.

Our community is vibrant and diverse. Many of our learners are adults balancing education with careers and personal commitments. Every member of our team – whether in teaching, operations, or technology – is dedicated to removing barriers and expanding access. Together, we deliver flexible, industry-informed learning that leads to meaningful opportunities.

At our core is human connection – guiding people to reimagine their futures in a community defined by opportunity, creativity, and growth.

Who we need

Reporting to the Associate Director, Enrolment Management, we are hiring an Enrolment Services Coordinator for a 12-month contract. As our new Enrolment Services Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the admissions process for Yorkville University and Toronto Film School (together, “Yorkville”). You will manage applications from initial review through to enrollment, ensuring every student record is accurate, complete, and progresses efficiently through the admissions process.

This is an existing hybrid role requiring three days per week onsite at our New Westminster Campus at 88 6th Street, New Westminster, BC.

What's in it for you

Help students take the next step. Every application represents someone investing in their future. You will play an important behind-the-scenes role in helping students move confidently from applicant to learner, ensuring they receive timely decisions, clear communication, and a positive enrolment experience from every interaction with Yorkville University and Toronto Film School.

Build expertise in post-secondary enrolment. You will develop a deep understanding of admissions operations, working across domestic and international applications, student information systems, regulatory requirements, and cross-functional processes. Partnering with Admissions, Student Finance, the Registrar's Office, Student Services, and Academic teams, you will gain broad exposure to how successful enrollment operations come together.

Join a collaborative team where your work matters. You will become part of an experienced Enrolment Services team that values accuracy, teamwork, and continuous improvement. As you learn the role, you will be supported by colleagues who share knowledge, work together to solve challenges, and understand that every detail contributes to a seamless experience for students.

As our new Enrolment Service Coordinator, you will:

Guide applicants through the admissions process. You will review domestic and international applications, assess supporting documentation, determine whether admission requirements have been met, and prepare offers of admission. You will manage student files from application through to registration readiness, ensuring each applicant receives timely updates and a positive enrolment experience.
Maintain accurate student records. You will update applicant information across our CRM, Student Information System (SIS), and internal platforms, ensuring every record is complete, accurate, and compliant with institutional policies. Your attention to detail will help prevent downstream issues and ensure students can successfully progress through the enrollment process.
Collaborate across the student journey. You will work closely with Admissions, Student Finance, the Registrar's Office, Student Services, Program Directors, and Immigration Services to resolve questions, coordinate academic reviews, monitor outstanding requirements, and keep applications moving forward. You will build strong relationships across teams to ensure students receive a seamless experience.
Support operational excellence. You will contribute to the success of multiple annual intake cycles by prioritizing competing deadlines, responding to applicant and internal inquiries, supporting admissions events and student orientations, and identifying opportunities to improve processes and the overall enrollment experience.

You have:

The administrative experience. You have experience supporting complex administrative processes where accuracy, organization, and attention to detail are essential. Whether your background is in admissions, higher education, customer service, student services, financial services, healthcare, or another process-driven environment, you know how to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high standard of quality.
The technical aptitude. You are comfortable working with multiple systems simultaneously and can quickly learn new technologies. You have experience maintaining accurate records in databases, CRM platforms, student information systems, or similar applications, and understand the importance of data integrity throughout every stage of a process. You have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including experience with Excel and reports and Adobe forms.
The communication skills. You communicate professionally and empathetically with a wide range of people. You can explain processes clearly, respond thoughtfully to questions, and build positive working relationships with applicants and colleagues across multiple departments.
The collaborative approach. You enjoy working as part of a team and understand that strong outcomes depend on effective collaboration. You build trusted relationships, share information proactively, and work closely with others to resolve issues and keep work moving forward.
The mindset. You are detail-oriented, highly organized, and thrive in a structured, fast-paced environment with competing priorities and deadlines. You take ownership of your work, adapt quickly as priorities shift throughout the admissions cycle, and take pride in delivering an exceptional experience for every applicant.

Why work at Yorkville University?

At Yorkville University and Toronto Film School, we are united by a shared purpose: placing the student experience at the heart of everything we do. Whether you are teaching, designing curriculum, advising students, advancing technology, or supporting operations, your work directly fuels learning potential, strengthens inclusive communities, and fosters purposeful curiosity.

Here, professional growth is part of our culture. In your role, you will have opportunities to help the launch of career-relevant programs, expand your expertise, and access tuition-free courses across our institutions - from certificates to master’s degrees. Curiosity, initiative, and innovation are encouraged, and your ideas can move from vision to reality.

Our scale offers the best of both worlds: the reach and stability of a national institution combined with the agility of a mid-sized organization, where contributions are visible and valued. You will be part of a diverse and inclusive community where authenticity is celebrated, collaboration is expected, and impact is shared - on students, colleagues, and your own professional journey.

At Yorkville and Toronto Film School, your work does more than make a difference. It empowers others to achieve their possible, while giving you the opportunity to realize yours.

Compensation philosophy

At Yorkville University and Toronto Film School, we believe compensation should be fair, straightforward, and supportive of your growth. Our salary ranges reflect progression from learning in the role to excelling, with each offer based on skills, experience, and role complexity.

This position offers a minimum annual salary of $45,000, a midpoint of $47,000 and a maximum of $50,000. Established hires typically start near the midpoint, while the upper range is reserved for those with deep expertise and sustained contributions. Offers below the midpoint recognize strong potential with room to grow.

We strive for equitable, consistent pay, though rates may vary within the same role based on performance, specialized knowledge, and impact.

We welcome conversations about compensation throughout the hiring process.

Join us

We welcome and appreciate candidates with a range of backgrounds and experiences. If you have 70% of the qualifications we seek, express your interest.

What you can expect from our hiring process:

A virtual interview with a Talent Advisor to discuss your interest in joining the company and in the role. The conversation will be recorded using BrightHire, an AI-powered video interview tool. More details will be shared when you are invited to interview.
A virtual or in-person interview with the Associate Director, Enrolment Management and the Director, Enrolment Management focused on your experience supporting high-volume administrative processes, your attention to detail, your approach to collaboration, and your ability to deliver an exceptional applicant experience.

Diversity, equity, and inclusion are critical components of life at Yorkville University and Toronto Film School, and we are committed to making these values an integral part of our culture. We encourage applications from all qualified applicants, including women, persons with disabilities, Black, Indigenous and People of Colour (BIPOC), people from the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Transsexual, Queer, Questioning, Two-Spirit, Intersex, Asexual + (LGBTQ2SIA+) community and other equity-seeking groups.
