Location: Montreal, QC (Hybrid)
Duration: Contract – Long Term
We are seeking a hands-on Sr Software Engineer with strong Python and frontend development as well as DevOps experience to build and enhance surveillance technology platforms and business-facing applications.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Design and develop scalable backend services using Python
✅ Build modern, responsive web applications using ReactJS or similar frontend frameworks
✅ Design APIs and integrate backend services with frontend applications
✅ Develop features for onboarding tools, workflow management, monitoring, reporting, and Rule Builder applications
✅ Collaborate with stakeholders to convert requirements into technical solutions
✅ Improve application performance, usability, reliability, and maintainability
✅ Participate in system design, code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support
Required Skills:
🔹 4–8 years of software development experience
🔹 Strong Python, REST API, SQL, Linux, and shell scripting experience
🔹 Strong ReactJS, JavaScript / TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3 experience
🔹 Experience with state management, API integration, Git, CI/CD, and automated testing
🔹 Strong software design and object-oriented engineering fundamentals
🔹Design, develop, and maintain Python applications, APIs, automation utilities, and services
🔹Build and maintain CI/CD / Devops pipelines covering build, test, security checks, packaging, and deployment
🔹Automate environment configuration, release activities, operational checks, and recurring engineering tasks
