Plant Accountant

As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Plant Accountant to join our team in London, Ontario.

💼 About the Role

The Plant Accountant will play a key role in supporting the financial and operational performance of our manufacturing operations. Reporting to the Controller, Ventilation North America, this position will provide financial analysis and reporting while partnering closely with Operations and Supply Chain.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a manufacturing environment and wants to have a direct impact on business performance.

What You'll Do

• Support monthly financial close, financial statements, journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
• Analyze material, labor, and overhead production variances
• Manage inventory valuation and support physical inventory activities
• Track capital expenditures and ensure appropriate asset capitalization
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Prepare and analyze weekly sales and production reporting
• Prepare monthly tax filings, including HST and QST
• Develop financial reports and dashboards for management
• Support internal and external audits
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies
• Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to improve financial and operational performance
• Identify and implement process improvement opportunities
• Provide support to AP and AR during periods of increased volume or employee absence

🎯 What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
• CPA designation or progress toward CPA preferred
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting and inventory control
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with NetSuite is an asset
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for continuous learning
