Marketing Manager

About the Position

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Marketing Manager works closely with the Marketing Committee to develop and drive Zeifmans’ marketing strategy to build brand awareness, expand and develop marketing platforms and conduct market research to plan effective client-focused marketing and promotional activities.

In close collaboration with sponsors, strategic partnerships and internal committee teams, the Marketing Manager will lead the planning of special events, webinars, live streams and communications, including the creation and distribution of promotional messaging using social media advertising, website management and direct client communications.

Summary of Responsibilities

Recommend, develop and implement marketing activities aligned with the firm’s strategic goals by industry segment (technology & startups, family business, healthcare professionals, emerging industries) or service line (estates and trusts) including budgets, activations and KPIs
Build strategic partnerships with organizations that synergize with marketing objectives (industry groups, Nexia affiliates, referral sources), creating co-branded content and events to develop new referral leads
Create, design and promote engaging thought leadership pieces including videos, articles, blogs, brochures, podcasts, press releases and announcements in conjunction with in-house subject matter experts, professional copy writers, graphic designers and videographers
Oversee Client events and seminars, prospects and referral sources, including sponsorships, tradeshows, webinars and conferences
Follow best practices to manage an effective online presence, including use of social media, Pay-per-Click campaigns, maintaining and managing websites to optimize Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM), adjusting online strategy as necessary
Oversee social media content including online Partner and Manager profile management
Oversee internal communications including Zeifmans Insider, news posts, event invitations, Eblasts, etc.
Oversee the creation of graphics and videos for advertisements, social media, thought leadership pieces, client-focused e-blasts, invitations, monthly newsletters, surveys, etc.
Develop, support and lead Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy and execute coordinated activities to promote supported charities.
Maintain, track and report Request for Proposal templates and responses in collaboration with professional staff
Oversee the sourcing and purchasing of branded promotional items for Client and Staff events

Develop and execute the annual marketing budget, detailing objectives and reporting KPI results to the Marketing Committee
Support management of marketing and sales e-mail inboxes

Summary of Experience

7+ years of experience in marketing
2+ years' experience in a manager role
Experience identifying and targeting audiences with creative design, online campaigns
Experience within a professional services firm is an asset

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, business administration, or a related field
Must be present for all in-person events in Toronto and minimum 3 days/week in office
Excellent written and oral communication, presentation skills and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational, time and project management skills with great attention to detail
Excellent research, analysis, problem-solving and decision-making ability
Strong creative and innovative thinking skills
Numerically literate, comfortable working with numbers, making sense of metrics and processing figures with spreadsheets
Excellent software skills, including social media, WordPress, MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint), Publisher, electronic Eblast tools such as Constant Contact, Photoshop, and website editing
Experience with Social HP or other social media content scheduling platforms
Strong knowledge of CRM
