Job Description

ZEROCOR is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory & Logistics Analyst to enhance our supply chain and operational efficiency.  Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role is essential for ensuring seamless coordination among marketing, sales support, and operations.

The successful candidate will manage the entire lifecycle of purchase orders, negotiate with vendors, and oversee raw material inventory across our network. You will serve as a key liaison, fostering strong relationships with vendors and customers to procure assets and ensure the successful completion of the sales process.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Customer & Vendor Relations

  • Relationship Management:  Build and maintain strategic partnerships with suppliers to leverage their technical capabilities and achieve business objectives.
  • Sales Support:  Collaborate closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate technical product solutions.

  • Market Growth Support:  Identify opportunities to increase market share by optimizing delivery methods and enhancing service quality.

Procurement & Purchasing

  • Strategic Sourcing:  Generate requests for quotes (RFQs) for pipe, pups, accessories, and freight; analyze quotes based on price, lead times, and historical vendor performance.
  • Procurement & Margin Analysis: Utilize pricing justification tools to calculate profit margins and document costs for accurate financial tracking.
  • Cost Optimization:  Monitor supplier performance and lead cost-saving initiatives to enhance the bottom line.

Inventory & Logistics Management

  • Operations Coordination:  Track incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure 100% inventory accuracy and on-time delivery.
  • Logistics Oversight:  Manage the movement and assembly of pipes, ensuring all ERP system entries (including purchases, transfers, and changes) are completed accurately.
  • Problem Solving:  Resolve discrepancies in inventory assets during the pre-sale, post-sale, and release stages to ensure seamless project execution.

Reporting & Auditing

  • Data Analysis:  Generate monthly management reports, including sales data and inventory reconciliation.
  • Auditing:  Lead routine inventory audits and reconcile physical yard records with digital system levels.

Product & Technical Expertise

  • Inventory Mastery:  Maintain comprehensive knowledge of current inventory, including size, grade, weight, length, and thread connections.
  • Process Familiarity:  Understand the differences between international and domestic products, as well as the capabilities of third-party processors and vendors.
  • Technical Support:  Deliver clear technical information to the sales team regarding value-added environmental solutions and relevant product recommendations.

Education & Experience

  • Education:  A secondary education is required. Post-secondary training in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business is strongly preferred.
  • Experience:  A minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service, sales operations support, purchasing, or inventory management is considered an asset.
  • Systems:  Proficient skills in Microsoft 365 and SharePoint are necessary.  Experience with Cin7Core (Inventory Management) and XERO (Accounting) is a significant advantage.
  • Technical Aptitude:  Ability to learn and manage complex inventory standards, including order dimensions, metric tons, and chemistry limitations.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Precision:  Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Communication:  Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, along with a positive “can-do” attitude.
  • Adaptability:  Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
  • Judgment:  Utilizes sound logic to resolve inventory issues and monitor supplier performance.
  • Logistics:  Must possess a valid Driver’s license and be willing to be on call, with occasional travel to local yards, approximately 5-10%.
