Job Title: Chatbot Content Developer
Location:Toronto, ON Onsite
Job Type: Contract
Chatbot Content Developer – Documentation Modernization & AI EnablementKey Roles & Responsibilities
- Review, analyze, and improve technical documentation used as chatbot knowledge sources.
- Convert Confluence content into Markdown and documentation-as-code formats.
- Use GitHub Copilot and AI tools to improve documentation quality and structure.
- Develop and enhance automation scripts for content conversion and migration.
- Maintain documentation in Git/Bitbucket repositories.
- Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to improve chatbot knowledge sources.
- Resolve documentation issues related to formatting, links, images, and metadata.
- Create standards, templates, and best practices for documentation management.Key Skillsets
- 5+ Yrs of strong scripting & automation experience - Python (preferred) or Java development experience.
- Experience working with Markdown documentation and Git-based repositories.
- Experience with Confluence administration, content organization, page structures, and migrations.
- Experience working with Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, or similar SCM platforms.
- Experience creating automation scripts and content transformation utilities.
- Hands-on experience with GitHub Copilot or AI-assisted development tools.
- Understanding of developer documentation and documentation-as-code practices.
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps concepts is desirable.
- Exposure to Backstage, TechDocs, or documentation portals is a plus.
- Strong written communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities
Review and improve technical documentation used as chatbot knowledge sources, converting Confluence content into Markdown and documentation-as-code formats. Develop content migration automation, maintain documentation in Git-based repositories, resolve documentation issues, and collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to establish documentation standards and improve chatbot knowledge.
Requirements
Requires 5+ years of scripting and automation experience, preferably with Python or alternatively Java, along with experience in Markdown, Confluence, and Git-based repositories. Candidates should have hands-on experience with GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted tools and strong documentation skills; CI/CD, DevOps, Backstage, and TechDocs experience are desirable or advantageous.
