Role: Solution Engineer with (GitHub Actions) / DevOps Engineer

Location: Halifax, NS (4 Days hybrid)

Job Description:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Diploma in IT with equivalent experience
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience creating and debugging pipeline stages
  • Strong understanding of build systems and project types (Maven, NPM, PyPi, .NET, MSBuild)
  • Ability to write POM and Settings files from scratch
  • GitHub Actions workflows, execution, and runners
  • Experience with tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitOps, Artifactory, SonarQube, Terraform, UCD, Ansible
  • Jenkins pipelines (Declarative, Multibranch, Maven pipelines)
  • Troubleshooting Jenkins failures and configuration issues
  • SonarQube configuration and usage
  • CD tools like Terraform, UCD
  • Ansible for configuration and deployment
  • Docker and containerization (Dockerfiles, commands)
  • Kubernetes (clusters, namespaces, PV/PVC, Helm charts, kubectl deployments)
  • Troubleshooting Kubernetes issues (pods, logs, nodes, events)

  • Nice-to-have:

    • CI/CD experience with NPM or NuGet
    • Groovy pipeline scripting
    • Strong communication skills
    • Agile tools (JIRA, ServiceNow)
    • Scripting experience (Groovy, Shell, Python)

    Responsibilities

    Create, execute, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines and workflows using GitHub Actions and Jenkins, including pipeline stages, build systems, and related configurations. Support software delivery and deployment using tools such as Terraform, UCD, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes, and troubleshoot issues across pipelines and Kubernetes environments.

    Requirements

    Requires a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an IT diploma with equivalent experience, along with hands-on CI/CD pipeline experience and strong knowledge of build systems and project types. The posting requires 7+ years of experience and familiarity with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, SonarQube, deployment tools, Docker, and Kubernetes.
