Original job description

We were founded on the belief that the world needs more creativity. It’s what drives all our decision-making. There is just so much ineffective, badly crafted work in the world that never gets noticed, has zero impact and is a waste of client budgets. We are here to change all that. When you truly embrace creativity as a competitive advantage, you will see it transform your world and your business. We’ve witnessed this over and over with our own clients. And, as a purpose-driven company, we also use our creativity to do good in the world by supporting causes we truly believe in.

With 200 staff in New York, Toronto, and Vancouver, Z.A.K. is a magnet for top global talent. Want to change your world as a marketer? Let’s fight sameness together.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • We’re looking for an experienced, collaborative Project Manager to join our growing team and lead the planning, coordination and delivery of large-scale, integrated campaigns across teams, partners and channels.
  • You’ll work on a high-profile account alongside an experienced senior team, bringing together ambitious creative thinking, brand strategy, integrated media and production. It’s a chance to help bring bold ideas to life and deliver work with a lasting impact.
  • You translate ambitious briefs into comprehensive workflow plans with clear timelines, deliverables, resources and ownership. You bring teams and partners together across paid, owned and earned channels, managing dependencies, anticipating risks and navigating multiple approval layers to deliver campaigns on time, on budget and to the highest standard.
  • You’re a confident, client-facing leader who brings structure and calm to complex creative work, balancing creative ambition with practical delivery needs. You’re excited to strengthen project management practices and build better ways of working at Zulu Alpha Kilo.

What You’ll Be Doing:

You’ll work with teams across all three of our offices to deliver integrated campaigns from briefing through launch and wrap-up, while helping build consistent, scalable project management practices across the agency. More specifically, you will:

  • Build and Own Integrated Campaign Plans: Translate campaign briefs into comprehensive workflows, timelines, milestones, deliverables and resource requirements. Connect strategy, creative development, production, partner deliverables, media deadlines, legal reviews, approvals and launch in one coordinated plan.
  • Manage Dependencies and Keep Work Moving: Map critical paths, decision points and approval stages across concurrent workstreams. Understand how changes in one area affect the wider campaign, and adjust plans to keep teams aligned and delivery on track.
  • Bring Teams and Partners Together: Coordinate creative, strategy, account service, resourcing, production and relevant media, digital, social, and external partners. Establish clear ownership, responsibilities, deadlines and handoffs, helping resolve competing priorities and maintain momentum.
  • Coordinate Creative Development and Production: Partner with creative and production leads to build realistic schedules that account for production, technical and accessibility requirements. Maintain deliverable matrices covering formats, specifications, versions, adaptations, languages and markets, with clear version control across assets.
  • Keep Partner Inputs and Approvals on Track: Build client and partner requirements, deliverables and approval stages into project plans from the outset. Work with account teams to consolidate feedback, manage revision cycles and track decisions, sign-offs and outstanding inputs.
  • Manage Scope, Budgets and Risk: Monitor project scope, budgets and resource allocations in partnership with account, production and finance teams. Identify risks early, assess the impact of changes and communicate recommendations before new commitments are made.
  • Balance Creative Ambition with Delivery: Help teams understand the timing, budget and resource implications of project decisions. Challenge unrealistic assumptions and find practical ways to support great creative work while maintaining achievable plans and clear expectations.
  • Keep Everyone in the Loop: Lead project status meetings and maintain accurate schedules, trackers and action items. Give teams and stakeholders a clear view of progress, upcoming decisions and delivery risks, documenting changes and escalating issues with recommended next steps.
  • Partner with the Resource Team: Forecast resource needs across campaign phases, identify capacity conflicts and work with Resource Management and discipline leads to ensure the right people are involved at the right time.
  • Drive Launch Readiness and Wrap-Up: Lead launch-readiness reviews to resolve outstanding dependencies, confirm final approvals and coordinate asset delivery, trafficking requirements and publishing handoffs with the responsible teams. Ensure assets reach the right destinations in the correct formats and within agreed timelines. Track post-launch deliverables and reporting requirements through campaign completion.
  • Build Better Ways of Working: Work closely with the Creative Operations Director and Managing Director to improve project workflows, templates and processes. Lead project wrap-ups to capture lessons learned and apply them to improve future delivery.

Who You Are:

  • Rigorous Planner: You turn complex briefs into realistic, detailed plans that teams can confidently work from. You account for dependencies and approvals as carefully as individual deadlines.
  • Connected Thinker: You see both the overall campaign and the details within it. You understand how decisions across disciplines affect scope, resources, timing and delivery.
  • Proactive Problem Solver: You spot risks early, ask the right questions and bring practical solutions. You’re comfortable challenging assumptions and making trade-offs clear.
  • Clear Communicator: You keep creatives, clients, partners and senior stakeholders informed without overwhelming them. You make responsibilities, decisions and next steps easy to understand.
  • Collaborative Leader: You build trust, navigate competing priorities and create accountability across teams, even when you don’t have formal authority.
  • Calm and Adaptable: You stay organized and focused as requirements evolve, helping teams respond to change without losing momentum.
  • Passionate About Creativity: You care about great ideas and understand how thoughtful planning and strong collaboration help bring them to life.
  • Culture Builder: You contribute to a positive, supportive agency environment and help teams do their best work together.

What You Bring:

  • 6+ years of project management experience within an integrated creative or advertising agency.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, integrated campaigns across multiple channels, disciplines and concurrent workstreams.
  • Proven ability to build comprehensive project plans that account for dependencies, resource requirements, production schedules and multiple approval stages.
  • Strong understanding of creative development, production workflows and campaign delivery across paid, owned and earned channels.
  • Experience coordinating internal agency teams, client stakeholders, external partners and vendors.
  • Experience managing complex approval processes, competing priorities and evolving project requirements.
  • Strong capabilities in scope management, budget tracking, risk management and project reporting.
  • Proficiency with project management platforms and collaborative workflow tools.
  • Experience managing projects for enterprise or regulated clients, such as financial services or pharmaceutical brands.
  • Proven experience building trusted client relationships and confidently leading conversations about project plans, priorities, risks and delivery.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail and written and verbal communication.
  • Experience partnering with Resource Management on capacity planning and forecasting is considered an asset.

If you love bringing clarity to complex creative work and helping teams deliver ambitious campaigns, we want you on the team.

Compensation for this role ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 CAD, depending on experience.
