Position Overview

We're looking for a Sales Director to lead ZURU Edge in Canada. You'll own the country strategy and P&L, lead a team of two, and report to our SVP North America. This is a new role, so you'll have real scope to shape how we go to market, which retailers we win with and how we grow share against established competitors. It suits a commercial leader who likes building something new, making decisions quickly, and seeing the results of their work directly on shelf and online.

This is a full-time, office-based role in Toronto.

Position Impact

You'll set the commercial direction for ZURU Edge in Canada and turn it into growth across the country's major retailers. Your job is to make sure ZURU wins its fair share of shelf, and then more than that, by working closely with our sales, marketing and supply teams to hit distribution targets and perform at shelf. Much of that team sits in other time zones, so you'll be comfortable delivering results with colleagues across North America and globally.

Beyond the numbers, you'll help protect what makes ZURU different. As we grow quickly, you'll keep the entrepreneurial culture that lets us challenge the status quo, while always putting people first.

Roles & Responsibilities

Own the Canadian P&L end to end. Drive sales, optimise trade investment and shape product mix to deliver financial targets and free up margin for reinvestment in innovation.
Build and run the country commercial strategy, and bring cross-functional teams on board so you have the products, tools and support you need to win.
Own key retailer relationships. Negotiate and deliver Joint Business Plans that grow both ZURU's business and our customers'.
Set the customer trade strategy and 4P execution across every account to get the best performance from each one.
Lead the Canadian team to deliver strong distribution, features, displays and activations in store and online, focused on our biggest bets.
Work with marketing on campaigns, product launches and promotions that build brand awareness and demand.
Represent the customer inside ZURU, using shopper and retailer insight to shape our decisions.
Keep improving commercial processes so the business runs faster and performs better.
Coach and develop your team, and build a culture that is ambitious and supportive.

Skills & Experience

5+ years in senior sales or commercial leadership roles in consumer goods, ideally somewhere fast-paced or entrepreneurial.
A strong grasp of the Canadian retail landscape and a track record of building partnerships with major national retailers.
Full P&L ownership, including trade spend management and JBP negotiation.
Sharp commercial judgment and strategic thinking, with the ability to solve problems quickly.
Clear communication and strong influencing skills, with internal teams and senior customer stakeholders alike.
Proven leadership: you motivate cross-functional teams and hold people accountable for delivering.
A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
