Engagement Manager
15Rock | Toronto, ON | Onsite - downtown Toronto
About 15Rock
15Rock is a Toronto-based, venture-backed company that uses AI to produce financial and commercial research. We work with consulting and advisory firms, asset managers, private equity firms and corporate teams on market sizing, competitive analysis, commercial due diligence and value creation. We also build platforms that help clients bring this research into their day-to-day work.
The role
We’re looking for an Engagement Manager to lead client projects from the initial scope through to the final presentation. You’ll use our AI platform to carry out research and analysis, check the findings and turn them into reports that clients can use to make decisions.
You’ll work closely with a Principal, present findings together and take responsibility for the quality and delivery of your projects. You’ll also work directly with the founder and senior team. This role suits someone with a consulting, banking or similar background who already uses AI regularly and knows where it needs careful review.
What you’ll do
- Turn a client brief into a project plan with clear questions, deliverables and deadlines.
- Use the 15Rock platform to research markets, assess competitors and answer commercial diligence questions.
- Check sources, test assumptions and review the analysis before it goes to the client.
- Manage several projects at once, keep clients informed and work with the Principal to resolve changes in scope or timing.
- Write reports and presentations, explain your findings to clients and respond to their questions.
- Help scope and price new projects, and identify opportunities for further work with existing clients.
- Work with Sales, Product and Engineering when a project needs a new capability, and improve how we handle recurring client requests.
What we’re looking for
- 3–5 years in management consulting, transaction advisory, financial services strategy, private equity value creation, corporate strategy or development, or a similar client-facing role.
- Experience managing project or deal workstreams and building relationships with clients.
- Strong analytical skills and commercial judgment. You can assess a business question, evaluate the evidence and explain your conclusions clearly.
- Regular use of AI in your work, with the ability to spot weak reasoning, unreliable sources and unsupported claims.
- Good judgment about deadlines, scope and when to involve senior colleagues. You’re comfortable working in an early-stage company where processes are still being built.
- Eligibility to work in Canada.
Experience at a leading strategy consulting or advisory firm, or at a seed- or Series A-stage company, would be helpful.
Compensation and benefits
Base salary is CAD $100,000–$120,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits. Total on-target earnings (OTE) are CAD $200,000 per year, including base salary and commission and/or bonus at target. Variable pay is tied to the quality of your client work and revenue growth with existing clients.
- Equity participation through a four-year vesting grant, based on seniority and contribution.
- Paid vacation and statutory holidays.
- Extended health and dental coverage, plus RRSP matching.
- Transportation and wellness subsidies.
The role is based in our downtown Toronto office in the financial district, with 3–4 days in the office each week. Most clients are in Toronto, with occasional travel within North America for client engagements.
