Role Description The Insurance Broker role at A-Z Insurance is a full-time hybrid position based in Markham, ON, with flexibility for some work from home. The broker will advise clients on personal and commercial insurance products, assess coverage needs, and present suitable policy options from multiple insurers. Daily responsibilities include generating and responding to leads, preparing quotes, processing applications, policy changes, and renewals, and ensuring accurate documentation. The role involves providing proactive customer service, handling inquiries and claims-related questions, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and insurer partners. The broker will also stay current on market trends, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory requirements, while contributing to a collaborative team environment and supporting business growth initiatives.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in Insurance Brokerage and Insurance, including assessing client risk profiles and recommending appropriate coverage.
- Solid understanding of Finance and Retirement Planning to support clients with long-term protection and financial security needs.
- Strong Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, build trust, and respond promptly to client inquiries.
- Relevant industry licensing or designation (e.g., RIBO or equivalent), and knowledge of P&C insurance products in Ontario.
- Proficiency with brokerage management systems and digital tools; ability to learn new platforms quickly.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Previous experience in an insurance brokerage or related financial services environment is an asset.
