We are seeking an experienced
Operations Lead to oversee production activities within a dynamic aerospace manufacturing environment. This leadership role is responsible for managing a team of approximately 25 technicians while ensuring production targets, quality standards, safety requirements, and operational excellence initiatives are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and support a team of approximately 25 technicians in a unionized manufacturing environment.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily operational activities to ensure production objectives are met.
- Monitor and drive performance against production schedules and key milestones.
- Manage departmental budgets and ensure efficient use of resources.
- Maintain the highest standards of product quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators including productivity, quality, health & safety, absenteeism, and operational efficiency.
- Identify operational challenges and implement effective, timely solutions.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional departments to ensure seamless production flow.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Support employee training, development, performance management, and succession planning.
- Foster a positive work environment built on teamwork, accountability, and open communication.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to develop employee skills and career growth.
- Demonstrate strong leadership while promoting company values and operational objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or degree in Aeronautics Manufacturing Operations, Production Management, Engineering Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a unionized manufacturing environment.
- Strong planning, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
- Proven ability to manage personnel with confidence, professionalism, and accountability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Experience managing performance metrics and achieving production objectives.
- Flexibility to work Afternoon Shift.
Preferred
- Aircraft Assembly and/or Final Assembly Line (FAL) experience.
- Experience working against production milestones and delivery schedules.
- Strong understanding of multidisciplinary aircraft manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and Operational Excellence methodologies.
- Aerospace industry experience is highly desirable.
