· Monitor workmanship and quality; identify deficiencies before work is covered and follow up on corrections.
· Coordinate site access, deliveries, inspections and consultant field reviews as directed.
· Maintain daily reports, manpower records, photographs, inspection records, deficiencies and significant site events.
· Communicate clearly and frequently with the Project Manager, including early warning of schedule, quality, safety or coordination issues.
· Maintain a clean, organized and professional jobsite and respectful relationships with trades, consultants, inspectors, the Owner and community.
Safety Responsibilities
· Provide day-to-day leadership of Abide’s site safety program and, where appointed, fulfill the role of the site’s qualified health and safety coordinator.
· Coordinate health and safety activities between employers on site and communicate known site hazards.
· Conduct or coordinate site orientations, regular site inspections and safety meetings as required.
· Ensure required FLHAs, worker/manpower sign-in and sign-out records and other applicable safety documentation are maintained.
· Monitor required PPE and safe work practices and correct unsafe conditions or behaviours.
· Stop work where an imminent or unacceptable safety risk exists.
· Maintain applicable first-aid equipment and records and coordinate emergency procedures and transportation arrangements.
· Immediately report significant incidents and safety concerns to Abide management.
Qualifications
· Current Advanced First Aid certification (formerly OFA Level 3) is strongly preferred.
· 5+ years of construction experience, ideally including site supervision, foreman or assistant superintendent responsibilities.
· Experience with commercial, multi-family, institutional or mixed-use construction is an asset.

· Proactive about identifying problems early and escalating decisions when required.
· Firm but fair with subcontractors and able to maintain respectful working relationships.
· Detail-oriented about quality and documentation.
