Role Description The HVAC Installer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Windsor, ON. Day-to-day responsibilities include installing, assembling, and commissioning furnaces, air conditioners, and related HVAC systems according to manufacturer specifications and local codes. The role involves performing start-ups, verifying system performance, and completing basic system balancing and adjustments. The HVAC Installer will also inspect existing systems, identify issues, and support repair or replacement recommendations while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Interaction with customers to explain work performed, provide basic operation guidance, and ensure a positive service experience is an important part of this role.
Qualifications
- Customer-focused mindset, including strong Customer Satisfaction skills and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally on-site.
- Technical abilities in Troubleshooting, Maintenance & Repair, and Preventive Maintenance for residential and light commercial HVAC systems.
- Knowledge of environmental and safety standards, including EPA-related regulations or equivalent Canadian refrigerant handling certification.
- Relevant HVAC certification or apprenticeship, with experience installing furnaces, air conditioners, and ventilation systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders, and to use standard HVAC tools safely.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and willingness to travel within the Windsor-Essex service area.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
