Radio, Digital, and a Recently Launched Community Portal!
Do you get a little too excited about great ads? Love local business stories? Enjoy the thrill of turning “nice to meet you” into “let’s work together”?
Acadia Broadcasting is looking for a Advertising Consultant to join our Halifax team and represent our local brands: Country 103.5, Surge 105 and Your Halifax Now.
In this role, you’ll help local businesses grow using radio and digital advertising solutions that actually make sense for them - not the cookie‑cutter stuff. Think creative problem‑solving, real‑world strategy, and campaigns that feel like they were built by someone who actually listened.
Responsibilities
Your success will come from:
- Finding new business opportunities and building partnerships that support both your clients and the community
- Building and maintaining strong, long‑term relationships with clients - being the trusted person they call with ideas and questions
- Creating smart, tailored marketing solutions that match each client’s goals (and budget)
- Working flexibly - some days in the office, some at home, some on the road meeting clients
- Keeping your accounts organized, including accurate and timely processing of account receivables
- Bringing a self‑starter mindset, staying on top of details while juggling multiple projects
Qualifications
What we are looking for:
- Are friendly, engaging, and genuinely enjoy meeting new people
- Have experience in marketing, media, and/or digital sales (an asset, but not a deal‑breaker)
- Can stay organized in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple priorities at once
- Have a competitive spirit and like seeing your effort turn into real results
- Are comfortable with tech and social media, including platforms like LinkedIn
- Have post‑secondary education in sales or marketing (an asset, not a must‑have)
- Hold a valid driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle (required)
- Please note: This is a hybrid position, and we do expect the successful candidate to live in the Greater Halifax Area.
What you will receive:
- A guaranteed salary plus the ability to grow your income through our uncapped commission structure
- An excellent benefits package, including flexible health and dental options, plus life insurance and disability benefits
- An annual Health Spending Account (HSA)
- 5% employer‑matched RRSPs and three weeks of vacation to start
- A Fitness Reimbursement Program
- Access for you and your immediate family to our Employee and Family Assistance Program
If you’re motivated to succeed, independent, a creative problem solver, and excited to keep learning in the world of marketing, we’d love to hear from you.
If this sounds like your next move, apply today!
