Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst or Project Manager with recent experience supporting Banking, Capital Markets, or Financial Services projects.
Candidates can come from either a Project Management or Business Analysis background, but recent financial services experience is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business data, processes, and requirements to identify system impacts and required changes.
- Gather, analyze, and document detailed business and system requirements.
- Create and maintain clear, up-to-date requirements and process flows in Confluence.
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, development, and QA teams.
- Translate complex business requirements and technical concepts into clear, actionable specifications.
- Drive the requirements definition process from initiation through acceptance.
- Work closely with Agile development teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Take ownership of Jira story management, including:
- Creating and initiating Jira stories.
- Writing detailed, clear, and unambiguous user stories.
- Defining acceptance criteria and business rules.
- Managing the story lifecycle through development and QA.
- Ensuring Jira stories remain the single source of truth for development and QA teams.
Required Skills & Experience
- Recent experience in Banking, Capital Markets, or Financial Services is mandatory.
- Experience as a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, Project Manager, or similar senior role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence in an Agile software development environment.
- Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to assess data, identify system impacts, and understand business value.
- Strong logical reasoning and understanding of basic mathematical concepts required for system requirements and validations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong experience creating detailed business requirements, process flows, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

This role is focused on business/system analysis, requirements, and technology delivery. It is not focused on internal financial or operational reporting.
