Company Description East Athletic Centre is Calgary‘s newest multisport facility that provides opportunity for youth and adult to explore their recreational and competitive sports abilities. This state of the art facility has five volleyball courts 7 3V3 basketball courts, seven Pickleball courts and a brand new weight room.
Role Description The Group Fitness Instructor is a contract, on-site role based in Calgary, AB. This role involves planning and leading group fitness sessions for youth & adults.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Group Exercise and Fitness Instruction, including planning and leading safe, effective, and engaging classes.
- Candidates should possess Personal Training and Fitness Industry experience, with knowledge of strength and conditioning principles and sport-specific training.
- Candidates should possess solid Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, build rapport, and support athletes and families.
- Relevant certifications such as Group Fitness Instructor or Personal Trainer (e.g., CanFitPro, ACE, NASM, or equivalent) are beneficial.
- Experience working with youth and team sport athletes, especially volleyball, is an asset.
- Ability to work on-site in Calgary, AB, with flexibility for days, evenings and weekends as needed.
