This is a temporary contract position.
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Cloud Platform Manager to lead the strategy, governance, and optimization of cloud platforms, enterprise hosting services, and hybrid technology environments. The successful candidate will oversee a multidisciplinary team responsible for cloud operations, platform security and reliability, service governance, cost optimization, and technology modernization initiatives across public cloud and on-premises environments.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to cloud engineers, platform administrators, and operations specialists.
· Develop and execute the enterprise cloud strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technology roadmaps.
· Establish standards for cloud infrastructure, platform services, monitoring, resilience, and operational excellence.
· Lead initiatives focused on cloud migration, platform modernization, and application hosting transformation.
· Develop governance frameworks for cloud security, service reliability, cost management, and operational reporting.
· Partner with business leaders, project teams, vendors, and executive stakeholders to prioritize and deliver strategic technology initiatives.
· Drive continuous service improvement through automation, performance optimization, and operational maturity.

· Develop and maintain enterprise cloud security standards, including:

· Regulatory compliance and audit readiness
· Security policy enforcement across hybrid and multi-cloud environments
DevSecOps and CI/CD Enablement
· Establish standardized CI/CD and DevSecOps practices to accelerate secure application and infrastructure delivery:
· Enterprise CI/CD pipeline standards
· Secure code scanning and quality controls
· Automated security testing and vulnerability assessments
· Build, release, and deployment governance
· Release management and approval workflows
· Continuous compliance validation
· Integration of security controls throughout the software delivery lifecycle
Technology Modernization
· Lead enterprise modernization initiatives, including:
· Cloud adoption and migration programs
· Platform consolidation projects
· Legacy infrastructure retirement strategies
· Container platform adoption
· Platform engineering practices
· Self-service technology capabilities
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline. Master's degree is considered an asset.
· 8+ years of progressive experience in cloud operations, infrastructure management, platform engineering, or enterprise technology services.
· Demonstrated experience leading technical teams and enterprise-wide technology transformation programs.
· Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, hybrid infrastructure environments, and enterprise operations management.
· Experience with cloud governance, financial management, service reliability, security frameworks, and platform modernization initiatives.

Work Arrangement
Hybrid work environment requiring on-site attendance two days per week (Monday and Wednesday) at the Acronym office located at 65 Kelfield Street, Etobicoke, Ontario.
