Key Responsibilities
International Logistics & Transportation Management
- Coordinate and manage international and domestic shipments via Air, Ocean, and Ground transportation.
- Oversee relationships with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and third-party logistics providers.
- Manage transportation activities across Canada, the United States, Europe, and Asia.
- Ensure timely movement of raw materials, components, and finished goods to support manufacturing and customer requirements.
- Evaluate carrier performance, negotiate rates, and identify transportation cost-saving opportunities.
- Monitor freight spend and implement logistics strategies to improve service levels and reduce costs.
- Manage expedited shipments and resolve transportation disruptions, delays, and service issues.
Customs, Trade Compliance & Import/Export
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and import/export requirements.
- Maintain expertise in HS/HTS tariff classifications, customs valuation, duties, and country-of-origin requirements.
- Coordinate customs clearance activities with brokers and regulatory agencies.
- Support import/export documentation processes including commercial invoices, certificates of origin, shipping documentation, and customs declarations.
- Monitor changes in international trade regulations and advise the organization on compliance requirements.
- Support duty optimization programs, tariff management, and customs audits.
Materials Management & Supply Chain Coordination
- Partner with Procurement and Operations teams to ensure uninterrupted material flow to production.
- Monitor inventory levels and support inventory optimization initiatives.
- Assist with material planning, demand planning, and replenishment strategies.
- Improve visibility of inbound supply and reduce supply chain risks.
- Support working capital reduction initiatives while maintaining service and production requirements.
- Coordinate inventory transfers and material movement across facilities and suppliers.
Continuous Improvement
- Analyze logistics data, transportation metrics, and supply chain performance.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce lead times.
- Lead logistics cost-reduction initiatives and transportation optimization projects.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for logistics and materials management activities.
- Support ERP system improvements and supply chain process enhancements.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Provide guidance and support to shipping, receiving, and logistics personnel.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Procurement, Operations, Finance, Project Management, and Customer Service.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers, carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.
- Participate in supply chain planning and operational review meetings.
Required Qualifications
MUST HAVE

International Logistics Experience
- Minimum 3-5+ years of experience managing international logistics operations involving:
- Air Freight
- Ocean Freight
- Road Transportation
- Experience coordinating shipments across North America, Europe, and Asia.
- Experience managing freight forwarders, transportation providers, and customs brokers.

Customs & Trade Compliance Expertise
- Strong knowledge of:
- Import/Export regulations
- Customs compliance
- Trade compliance
- HS/HTS tariff classifications
- Duties and taxes
- Customs documentation
- International shipping regulations

Manufacturing Supply Chain Experience
- Experience supporting manufacturing operations through logistics and material flow management.
- Knowledge of inventory management, materials planning, and supply chain coordination.
- Experience optimizing inventory levels while supporting production requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
NICE TO HAVE
- Electronics manufacturing experience.
- Experience with PCB manufacturing, electro-mechanical assemblies, sheet metal, or aluminum products.
- Inventory optimization and working capital management experience.
- Material planning and demand planning experience.
- Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Transportation cost reduction and carrier negotiation experience.
- Experience with ERP systems such as:
- SAP
- Epicor
- Other MRP/ERP platforms

This is a Contract position based out of Mississauga, ON.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $43.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
