Activate is a tech company known for creating Canada’s first full-scale interactive gaming facility. We are experiencing significant expansion and are looking to expand our team with the addition of a Picker. A successful applicant will be responsible for accurately and efficiently picking components and materials based on bills of materials (BOMs), production schedules , quality standards and sales orders.
The successful applicant will demonstrate strong communication, team work and time management skills, along with a focus on maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This is a full-time, permanent position. This is an internal opportunity open only to current Activate employees.
The Duties And Responsibilities
Parts Picking and Assembly
- Pick and pack components for part orders and game room packages
- Coordinate daily picking operations to meet production targets
- Prioritize and complete urgent and priority picking requests while maintaining accuracy
- Ensuring adherence to quality control standards and proper handling of materials
- Use Epicor to access drawings and BOMs for proper picking instructions
- Collaborating with production planning and inventory teams to resolve discrepancies
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Other tasks and duties as assigned
Fabrication & Assembly
- Use various hand and power tools to complete minor game component assemblies based on part drawings and assembly guides
- Assist with assembly and repair tasks as required to support production needs
The Qualifications
- Electronics Technologist diploma or equivalent experience preferred
- High School Diploma relevant experience in mechanical and/or electronic assembly
- Competency in applicable Tier 1 assemblies at Activate Games
- Experience in picking function at Activate Games is an asset
- Comfortable in using Epicor
- Able to read and understand pick sheets, BOMs, and drawings
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
