Commercial Development Manager – Supply & Markets
AD Energy is working with a growing organisation to appoint a Commercial Development Manager – Supply & Markets to drive commercial growth across its regional operations.
This is a relationship-led role focused on winning new business, securing tonnage, developing key accounts and identifying new revenue opportunities across the waste and resource management sector.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for:
- Driving regional sales and business development activity
- Building relationships with haulers, municipalities and commercial/industrial customers
- Securing new tonnage and developing long-term supply agreements
- Managing the sales pipeline from initial opportunity through to contract
- Supporting bids, proposals and commercial negotiations
- Identifying new markets and revenue opportunities
- Monitoring market trends and commercial performance
- Representing the business at client meetings and industry events
- Travelling across the region as required – up to 60%
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone with:
- 5+ years’ experience in business development, commercial sales or account management
- Waste management industry experience strongly preferred
- Experience working with municipal and/or commercial customers
- Strong B2B sales, negotiation and contract development skills
- A proven ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships
- A commercially driven, proactive approach
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Flexibility to travel as required
