Role Description The Pharmacy Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Chatham, ON, responsible for overseeing daily pharmacy operations within the clinic. This role includes supervising pharmacy staff and technicians, ensuring safe and accurate prescription processing, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory and professional standards. The Pharmacy Manager will coordinate medication management for clients with substance use and behavioral addictions, oversee immunization services, and collaborate closely with medical and counseling teams to support integrated care plans. Additional responsibilities include inventory management, workflow optimization, quality assurance initiatives, and fostering a patient-centered, non-judgmental environment.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in Pharmacy, Pharmacy Practice, and leadership within a clinical or community pharmacy setting.
- Experience working with Pharmacy Technicians, including supervision, training, and scheduling.
- Proficiency in managing Prescriptions, including verification, dispensing, counseling, and documentation.
- Competence in Immunization services, including vaccine preparation, administration, and monitoring.
- Current licensure as a Pharmacist in good standing with the appropriate provincial regulatory body.
- Knowledge of addiction medicine, harm reduction principles, and medication-assisted treatment is strongly preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team.
- Experience with pharmacy management systems, inventory control, and regulatory compliance (e.g., controlled substances handling).
- Commitment to non-discriminatory, trauma-informed, and patient-centered care.
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), or equivalent recognized qualification.
