The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced acoustical engineer who wants to lead both technical work and the people behind it. As an Associate at Aercoustics, you will guide a team, help match the right people to the right projects, and ensure our work meets the high standards our clients expect.
This is a leadership role for someone who enjoys developing others as much as solving complex technical problems. You will have a voice in how we strengthen our capabilities, serve our clients, and grow the business.
What You’ll Do
Lead technical excellence
Provide technical direction on acoustical engineering projects. Guide teams through complex challenges, review key deliverables or arrange appropriate technical review, and help maintain consistent quality across the work.
Develop your team
Coach and mentor engineers and technical staff through regular feedback, career conversations, and development plans. Identify opportunities for people to build their skills and take on new challenges.
Plan resources and support delivery
Balance project needs, team capacity, and individual strengths when assigning work. Monitor workload, project status, and forecasts so teams have the support they need to deliver well.
Strengthen operations
Support team productivity, project profitability, invoicing, and adherence to company processes. Spot issues early and work with colleagues to resolve them.
Build client relationships and help us grow
Develop trusted relationships with clients and contribute to proposals, pursuits, and strategic initiatives. Identify opportunities to expand our services and represent Aercoustics in the industry.

What You Bring
Must-Haves
- At least 8+ years in architectural acoustics with a portfolio of complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
- Experience leading teams and client accounts; proven record in profitability, delivery, and client satisfaction.
- A professional engineering designation, or eligibility for licensure in the jurisdiction where you will work
- Strong technical judgment in acoustics, noise, and/or vibration
- Experience reviewing technical work and guiding other engineers
- Experience leading, mentoring, or developing team members
- Ability to plan work, set priorities, and allocate resources across competing project needs
- Strong client relationship, communication, and problem-solving skills
- An understanding of project financial performance, including budgets, utilization, and profitability
