Business Development Representative (BDR)
Aeroex Technologies
Barrie, Ontario | On-site
Build a career in industrial sales by connecting manufacturers with solutions to their air filtration challenges.
Aeroex Technologies designs and manufactures industrial air filtration and mist collection systems for manufacturing environments across North America. We’re looking for a Business Development Representative who is comfortable starting conversations, asking good questions, and turning prospect interest into qualified sales opportunities.
The role
Your focus will be developing new business through outbound prospecting and timely follow-up on incoming inquiries. You’ll research manufacturers, connect with decision-makers, understand their needs, and arrange qualified conversations with our sales team.
This role requires regular cold calling, consistent follow-up, and a willingness to learn technical products. You’ll speak with business owners, plant managers, maintenance teams, and engineers about the challenges they face on the shop floor.
What you’ll do
- Research target companies and identify the right contacts within manufacturing and industrial businesses.
- Start conversations through phone calls, personalized emails, and LinkedIn outreach.
- Follow up on website inquiries, marketing leads, and trade show contacts.
- Qualify opportunities by understanding the application, current challenges, purchasing process, and project timing.
- Book qualified meetings for the sales team and provide clear notes for each handoff.
- Maintain accurate contact information, activity records, and next steps in the CRM.
- Work with sales and marketing to improve targeting, messaging, and follow-up.
What you bring
- Clear, professional communication and confidence speaking with new people.
- Strong listening skills and the ability to ask practical questions.
- Persistence, organization, and reliable follow-through.
- Interest in manufacturing, industrial equipment, and technical sales.
- Comfort using CRM software and digital prospecting tools.
- A willingness to take feedback and improve your approach.
Experience in outbound sales, business development, inside sales, or appointment setting is an asset. Familiarity with CNC machining, metalworking, industrial equipment, or air filtration is helpful.
What success looks like
You build a consistent flow of qualified opportunities, arrange productive sales meetings, and keep follow-up organized. Your contribution is measured by the quality of the opportunities you create and how they progress through the sales process.
Why Aeroex
Work with tangible products that address real manufacturing challenges. Build your knowledge of industrial applications, develop relationships with technical buyers, and make a visible contribution to business growth.
