Key Responsibility: As an Analyst, Valuation & Modelling, you will support client engagements through financial modelling, valuation work, solution analysis, reporting, and research. You will work closely with our Solutions team to assess complex insurance strategies, evaluate alternatives, and develop analytical tools that support client recommendations.
This role combines technical analysis with practical problem-solving and offers exposure to financial modelling, business valuation concepts, life insurance solutions, and client advisory work.
Job Responsibilities:
Financial and Valuation Modelling
- Build, maintain, update, and validate financial and valuation models.
- Complete recurring modelling processes and analytical calculations.
- Analyze projected cash flows, policy performance, and alternative scenarios.
- Support the development and enhancement of modelling tools and processes.
- Troubleshoot model issues and investigate unexpected results.
- Ensure outputs are accurate, complete, and aligned with client objectives.
Analysis and Problem Solving
- Review requests to understand the underlying business objective.
- Analyze data and identify trends, anomalies, and inconsistencies.
- Validate assumptions and assess the reasonableness of results.
- Develop practical solutions to analytical and modelling challenges.
- Conduct research to support strategy development and client recommendations.
Client and Stakeholder Support
- Work closely with Partners, consultants, Account Managers, and Account Service Representatives.
- Gather, organize, and analyze information required to support client engagements.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders to clarify requests and requirements.
- Explain modelling outputs and recommendations in a clear, understandable manner.
- Support the preparation of client-facing reports and presentations.
Reporting and Documentation
- Prepare analyses, reports, and supporting documentation.
- Review data quality and completeness before deliverables are finalized.
- Maintain documentation of models, assumptions, methodologies, and processes.
- Support continuous improvement and automation initiatives.
Education:
A degree in one of the following disciplines is preferred:
- Actuarial Science
- Mathematics
- Statistics
- Finance
- Economics
- Commerce
- Business
- Data Analytics
- Another quantitative field
Experience:
We're open to candidates with varying levels of experience, including:

Assets
Any of the following would be considered an asset:
- Progress toward actuarial credentials (SOA/CIA)
- Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) designation or progress toward the CBV designation

- Experience working with life insurance products
- VBA, Power Query, Power BI, or other automation tools
- Exposure to valuation, investment, or actuarial concepts
