Job Description
On behalf of our client, Affinity is seeking a Business Analyst for a six month contract to hire.
Our client is seeking a highly capable Business Analyst to join their Applications team. This role is ideal for a hands-on, delivery-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced Agile environment and can support a diverse portfolio of custom-built business applications.
The successful candidate will support and enhance internally developed applications used across multiple business units. This role requires a strong understanding of Agile practices, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, testing, and release cycles.
The position requires the ability to quickly learn complex business processes and systems, collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams, analyze production issues, document clear requirements, and support delivery across multiple initiatives.
II. Key Responsibilities
- Perform business analysis and requirements gathering for small to mid-sized initiatives
- Create user stories and maintain supporting documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize requirements
- Investigate and triage production issues and defects
- Coordinate issue resolution with developers, QA, and operations teams
- Engage stakeholders to gather feedback and validate requirements
- Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, backlog reviews, and sprint planning
- Support roadmap planning and track requirements through delivery
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities
- Assist with releases, including documentation and post-implementation support
- Conduct research and analysis as needed
- Support change management and user adoption efforts
- Define and track key performance metrics
Education
III. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Preferred: Technology, Business, or related field
Experience
- 3 to 5 years of experience in business analysis
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and stakeholder management
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Ability to troubleshoot and recommend improvements
