Job Description:
Part-time job opportunity at AGBU Toronto to plan and oversee Programs for Youth by creating a safe and nurturing environment for young individuals, offering guidance, and organizing educational and recreational activities. This role aims to empower youth, further promote personal development, and foster positive leadership relationships within the community.
Responsibilities:
- Formulate strategic plans to implement the vision of AGBU Toronto
- Develop extracurricular programs and activities
- Recruit and retain students and families for extracurricular programs and activities
- Form positive relationships with students and parents
- Support and supervise instructors and coaches, when applicable
- Communicate with current and prospective students and their parents
- Plan field trips and special activities
- Evaluate programs
- Promote the programs within the community
Requirements- Skills/Qualifications:
- Experience running educational programs
- Experience hiring, managing, and supervising staff
- Experience in student recruitment and retention
- BA or diploma in Education, Early Childhood Education, or related field preferred
- Excellent relational skills – ability to form collaborative bonds and communicate well with children and youth, parents, and staff
- Strong professional skills – ability to work quickly, independently, and with accountability
- Strong leadership skills
- Creativity and enthusiasm to try new approaches
- Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality written and media materials
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Armenian language preferred
