We are looking for an experienced Senior Carpenter / Lead Hand to join our renovation team in the Toronto area. We need someone who can start as soon as possible.
This is a hands-on job. We need someone who can work independently, knows what needs to be done, and can keep the job moving. Most importantly, we want someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys what they do, and cares about doing a good job.
What You Will Do:
✔ Lead hands-on renovation work on job sites
✔ Do demolition, framing, drywall, tiling, flooring, and painting
✔ Work on kitchens, bathrooms, basements, duplexes, triplexes, and other multi-unit renovations
✔ Guide and check the work of less experienced workers
✔ Keep the job site organized and keep the work moving
✔ Give the owner and admin team daily updates and let them know about any issues or questions
Basement renovations and multi-unit conversions are a regular part of the work.
Requirements:
✔ Minimum 2 years of hands-on residential renovation experience
✔ Experience working from permit drawings and passing inspections
✔ Able to work independently without constant supervision
✔ Takes pride in their work and is passionate about the trade
✔ Good attention to detail and cares about doing the job properly
✔ Reliable, hardworking, and a good team player
✔ Must have a reliable car or truck and be able to transport tools and materials
✔ English is required
✔ Experience with garden suites or laneway suites is a plus
Compensation: $25–$40/hour
Location: Toronto, ON and surrounding areas
Start Date: As soon as possible
