About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Engineer to join our team at Soucy. In this pivotal role, you will oversee multiple large-scale projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with quality standards, safety regulations, and manufacturing capabilities. Your leadership will be instrumental in coordinating cross-functional teams, managing project timelines, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related technical field. A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is required, with proven expertise in project management and familiarity with related tools and methodologies. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to learn and adapt to new manufacturing processes are essential. Knowledge of plastics processing methods will be considered an asset. Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving and team collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple large-scale projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope, budget, and quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with the product development team to guide design processes based on manufacturing capabilities and occupational health and safety (OHS) best practices.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee all activities related to the launch of new thermoforming products, including resource allocation and performance monitoring.
- Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and performance metrics to ensure efficient execution and comprehensive project integration.
- Coordinate internal stakeholders across various departments involved in the industrialization phases, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
- Participate actively in optimizing manufacturing processes through continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing productivity, safety, and product quality.
- Lead and support continuous improvement projects to enhance existing product lines and manufacturing efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies throughout all project phases.
