About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our products through rigorous testing, troubleshooting, and process improvements. Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance, product testing, or related fields.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with data acquisition systems, sensors, and actuators.
- Proficiency in mechanical assembly and disassembly, with competence in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, and drills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, inspection plans, and product specifications.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes including CNC machining, injection molding, extrusion, welding, additive manufacturing, and surface treatments.
- Experience with 3D modeling and design software like SolidWorks.
- Familiarity with bench tools such as oscilloscopes, power analyzers, logic analyzers, and multimeters.
- Proven track record in testing and qualifying electro-mechanical components and systems.
- Experience in root cause analysis, 8D reporting, and developing corrective and preventive actions.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, for effective internal and external interactions.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% as required for project needs and stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot product failures by analyzing failure data and identifying root causes.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to evaluate product performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Document failure analyses through NCR and 8D reports, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
- Communicate technical updates and findings to customers, providing support and guidance as needed.
- Design and develop test fixtures and software solutions to streamline testing procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
- Maintain compliance with industry standards and company quality policies.
