Our team in St. John's, NL is growing and we're seeking a Contracts Administrator to support our Contracts Management group!
What will you be doing?
- Ensure all contracts and subcontract agreements are administered in compliance with applicable legislation, regulatory requirements, client obligations, and company policies and procedures.
- Coordinate the contract and subcontract pre-award process, including the review of commercial terms, documentation, and contractual requirements.
- Prepare, review, and administer contracts, subcontracts, amendments, change orders, and other contractual documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor contractual obligations, deliverables, and milestones to ensure compliance with contract terms and timely execution of work.
- Collaborate with project management, engineering, project controls, HSSE, quality, and operations teams to address contractual matters and support project objectives.
- Manage contract correspondence and maintain complete, accurate, and auditable contract records and documentation.
- Review and process contractor and subcontractor payment applications, ensuring compliance with contract terms and supporting documentation requirements.
- Evaluate and administer contract changes, claims, and variations, ensuring appropriate review, approval, documentation, and communication to stakeholders.
- Assist in the identification and mitigation of contractual risks and support the resolution of commercial and contractual issues.
- Coordinate contract close-out activities, including final account settlement, documentation completion, lessons learned, and contractor performance evaluations.
We Think You Should Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in contract and subcontract administration, preferably supporting large-scale engineering, procurement, construction, or industrial projects.
- Demonstrated experience in the preparation, review, negotiation, administration, and close-out of contracts and subcontracts throughout the project lifecycle.
- Strong knowledge of contract management principles, commercial terms and conditions, change management, claims administration, and risk mitigation practices.
- Proven ability to work effectively with project teams, contractors, subcontractors, and key stakeholders to ensure contractual compliance and successful project delivery.
- Experience administering contracts within Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) environments is considered a strong asset.
