Position: Lead Developer - Guidewire PC/BC Consultant

About the Engagement
Akkodis is seeking the services of an experienced Lead Developer - Guidewire PolicyCenter/BillingCenter Consultant to support a large-scale insurance technology initiative. The engagement involves leading the design, configuration, integration, and delivery of Guidewire solutions while collaborating with business and technology stakeholders to implement scalable and high-performing applications. The successful consultant will provide technical leadership, solution design expertise, and hands-on development support within a complex enterprise environment.
Services to be Provided
- Lead the design and implementation of Guidewire PolicyCenter and BillingCenter solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and hands-on expertise in Guidewire configuration and integration.
- Design and develop integrations utilizing REST and SOAP APIs.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Mentor and guide development teams, promoting development standards and best practices.
- Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical decision-making.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex application and integration issues.
- Support project planning, estimation activities, and delivery management.
- Collaborate with quality assurance, business analysis, and product teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
Expertise Required
- Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter and/or BillingCenter.
- Strong expertise in Guidewire configuration and integration development.
- Current ACE Certification in PolicyCenter or BillingCenter (Configuration and/or Integration).
- Demonstrated experience in solution design and technical architecture.
- Proven experience leading development teams or technical workstreams.
- Strong experience designing and developing REST and SOAP API integrations.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration capabilities.
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments.

This is a business-to-business engagement. Candidates must represent an incorporated entity, hold a valid business number, maintain appropriate insurance, and invoice for services rendered.
Nice to Have
- Experience with additional Guidewire applications, including ClaimCenter, Digital, DataHub, or InfoCenter.
- Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns.
- Experience with cloud-based architectures and modern application platforms.
- Insurance industry domain expertise.
