Your Opportunity:
Administrative support is integral to the operational management of the Pediatric Trauma, Surgery and Child Kind Program. This position provides comprehensive, confidential, and highly organized administrative support to the Patient Care Manager (PCM) and key program leaders, including two Unit Managers (Inpatient and Ambulatory Units), a Clinical Nurse Specialist, a Trauma Coordinator, and a team of Surgery Nurse Practitioners. Working with a high degree of independence and minimal supervision, the incumbent coordinates and manages complex calendars, email communications, leadership meetings, presentations, reports, and correspondence. The role is responsible for preparing HR and financial documentation, drafting reports and memos, maintaining records, tracking operational activities, and supporting program initiatives. As a central administrative resource, the position ensures the efficient flow of information and supports effective decision-making within a dynamic healthcare environment. The incumbent plays a critical role in coordinating urgent and emerging operational priorities, supporting crisis response activities, and facilitating conflict management through timely communication, stakeholder coordination, and the handling of sensitive and confidential information. Sound judgment, professionalism, discretion, and the ability to manage competing priorities are essential to supporting leaders in addressing staffing, patient care, and organizational challenges. The position supports the program's commitment to Patient and Family-Centered Care, Child Kind principles, and Solutions for Patient Safety by promoting respectful communication, collaboration, safety-focused practices, and processes that support positive patient, family, and staff experiences.
