Cold Lake is considered a rural or remote community. Employees who have been employed a full year for a minimum of 400 hours in “an under-served rural or remote community” will qualify for Canada Student Loan Forgiveness (if loan is in good standing). As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, and demonstrated skill level, in alignment with applicable legislation, standards of practice, policies, and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, high quality, patient and family centred care while reflecting the shared vision and values of the organization.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:
A minimum of 1-2 years in medical/surgical or emergency department as Licensed Pratical nurse within the last 5 years or have completed final preceptorship in the emergency department.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in the following courses is preferred: Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS), Current Trauma Nursing Course (TNCC), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
