Your Opportunity:
The Calgary Zone Medical Radiation Tech (MRT) Clinical Education Team is looking for a highly motivated, confident and enthusiastic technologist with a positive attitude to join our team. As a Clinical Educator you will be responsible for providing training, leadership and guidance to MRT students in the clinical environment. In collaboration with the Education Coordinator and SAIT representatives, you will help support student education and contribute positively to the overall student clinical experience. You will liaise with technological and management staff at the sites to facilitate a collaborative learning environment. In addition, you will plan, implement and/or support preceptor training and staff education activities. This role supports the MRT program, which also incorporates entry level Computed Tomography. Experience in CT, or CT courses will be considered an asset. This position is based out of the Foothills Medical Centre, will support and positively impact the Calgary Zone DI education program.

As a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) II, you will perform specialized technical radiological imaging examinations on patients for the purpose of disease and pathology diagnosis. You may perform specialized diagnostic imaging procedures for Physician/Radiologist review, interpret physician requisitions and assist with the care and maintenance of imaging equipment.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Minimum three (3) years experience in a large progressive Diagnostic Imaging Department. Prior experience facilitating, instructing, developing learning, precepting and/or teaching. Experience working with students is required. Proficient computer skills (experience with Microsoft Office Suite [MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint]).
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced Certification with CAMRT is an asset.
