Your Opportunity:
We are looking for a passionate Registered Nurse to join our interdisciplinary team in our Labour and Delivery department here at the Northern Lights Health Centre in beautiful Fort McMurray. As a Registered Nurse, you will be utilizing our values (AHS cares) and Patient First Strategy in your practice to provide leading care to Albertans. Our Labour and Delivery department has 13 beds and a special care nursery. There is also an opportunity to cross train to Pediatrics for a varied experience. Description:
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values. PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit holders will be paid $40.76 to $55.79 per hour. Upon obtaining a full practice permit, the rate of pay will be adjusted to the applicable Registered Nurse rate in accordance with UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii), as applicable.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
Additional Required Qualifications:
2 years of experience in the past 5 years on a Maternal Child hospital -based program Neonatal Resuscitation Program.
Preferred Qualifications:
ACORN preferred. Current Obstetrical Education (i.e. more OB). Current Fetal Health Surveillance course.
