Position Summary
The Food & Beverage Outlets Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hotel's food and beverage outlets, ensuring exceptional guest service, efficient operations, and adherence to company standards. This position provides leadership and support to front-of-house team members while maintaining a positive guest experience in the restaurant, lounge, banquets, in room dining and signature club lounge.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations of all assigned food and beverage outlets.
- Lead, coach, train, and motivate team members to deliver exceptional guest service.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, service standards, health and safety regulations, and liquor legislation.
- Monitor staffing levels and assist with scheduling to ensure operational needs are met.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate daily priorities, promotions, and special events.
- Handle guest concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, and service standards.
- Assist with inventory management, ordering, and cost control initiatives.
- Support the execution of special events, banquets, and catering functions as required.
- Complete opening and closing procedures and ensure accurate cash handling practices.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety throughout all outlets.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and performance management of team members.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications
- 5 years supervisory experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
- Smart Serve Certification (or provincial equivalent) required.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with point-of-sale systems and basic computer applications.
- Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
