Responsibilities
Independently perform transthoracic echocardiography studies, ensuring the requested service is performed correctly and accurately, all required views are obtained, and accreditation standards are followed. Review requisitions and patient histories to identify physician requirements, consult the reading cardiologist when uncertain, and maintain effective working relationships with staff.
Requirements
Graduation from a recognized echocardiography program and active membership with Sonography Canada or ARDMS, along with good standing with CMRITO, are required. Candidates must be able to perform TTE studies independently, meet the physical demands of the role, and demonstrate strong communication, problem assessment, customer service, teamwork, and leadership skills; new graduates are welcome.
