The Solutions Architect is responsible for designing and overseeing technology solutions that address business challenges and support strategic objectives. Acting as the bridge between business needs and IT execution, this role evaluates existing systems, designs secure and scalable solutions, and ensures alignment with organizational goals. The Solutions Architect focuses on what solutions should achieve, providing the broad architectural vision that guides both development teams and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic & Business Alignment
- Identify and design technology solutions to solve complex business problems.
- Develop strategic roadmaps to align IT initiatives with corporate objectives.
- Partner with executives to communicate the business value of technical initiatives.
- Estimate budgets and forecast costs for proposed solutions.
Solution Design & Technical Oversight
- Define solution structures, features, and system integration points.
- Select the most appropriate technology stack based on business and technical needs.
- Ensure solutions meet requirements for security, scalability, performance, usability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Create documentation, diagrams, and technical blueprints to guide development teams.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Partner with solution presentation, project management, and implementation teams.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-friendly terms for non-technical stakeholders.
- Provide leadership to keep solutions aligned with business goals while managing risks.
- Support vendor selection, technology evaluation, and procurement processes.
